THE SOUND OF PEACE

The Centenary of

Armistice WW1

11th November 2018

We must never forget that we are building this nation on the shoulders of giants who forged our freedom and endless opportunity with their sacrifice – to these men and women we owe our Australian pride and bright future. My prayer is that this year for the Centenary of Armistice Nov 11th 2018, alongside our respectful remembrance we should would also celebrate 100 years of progress for Australia - all empowered by the spirit of the ANZAC’s. In their honour, we should throw the hugest nationwide street party Australia has ever seen in all our cities with live music, dancing, food, and as churches we’re going to be ring bells of celebration - a party like they had at the end of The Great War.

May God grant that Australia forevermore be a country of peace, prosperity and progress.

Today we recognise the heroic actions, the sacrifice, the courage and mateship of those men and women from all conflicts and peacekeeping operations. We’re ringing church bells as the sound of peace, freedom and relief just as the churches did at the end of The Great War, and we are praying for the future peace of our nation.
